Sometimes it takes some kind of catalyst for me to realize my own feelings about something or someone. Today I got an email from my dear friend of many years telling me he had married. My reactioned to this news startled me. My hand flew to my mouth and a loud audible gasp flew out of my mouth as some tears sprung up. [i]I never realized i cared that much.[/i] hmmm. There I was sitting in this boring-as-hell meeting when my phone about vibrated right off the table. I looked at it quickly to see the number and it said out of area..I just had a feeling it was you. I wanted to answer it so badly!! As soon as I could get a free moment I bolted from the room to check my messeges..after the ritual of pass codes I finally get to the messege waiting...A familiar voice: [i]I am not leaving my name. I am not leaving my number. I love you.[/i] click.... :wink: I couldn't tell you what was discussed during the second half of that meeting....my mind was far, far away. :!: |

Hello my sweetheart, I am sorry to be slow in responding to your phone call...I think part of my mind is still trying to soak in every word you spoke. I have listened to it over and over again. Your voice is like ..well nothing I can explain in words...its more like music to me. So soft and sexy....To be able to hear the emotion in your voice really effected me. Usually I am so good with words, but they fail me miserably now. I can't explain why my entire body trembles at the sound of your voice...or why hearing you speak three tiny words simply took my breath away. I don't understand this hold you have on my heart and now it seems my entire being... The only thing I know for certain is that I love you and it would be my greatest regret in life to never hold you in my arms. |

I have been sitting here watching the rain falling against my office window for most of the morning now. I can't seem to stay focused on anything. My mind seems to always find its way to you. Our conversation from yesterday keeps replaying in my head over and over...[i]you are making this so hard for me[/i]! Its already so hard because I want to be near you every second of the day...when I hear you tell me it hurts because I am not there it really tears my heart in two. [i]Never let it be said I don't give my all for my children....[/i] :? I rushed out of the office early to today to make the 5PM kickoff of my daughters freshman football game. She is a member of the cheerleading squad. Today was especially important for her as she was to captain today. I fully expected the game to be cancelled due to the weather. (We are experiencing the tail end if frances here) It has been a steady downpour all day. I decided since it will be cancelled for weather I will just swing by and pick her up to go home. But NO :shock: I pull in the stadium lot to see the score board lit up and people in the stands...errrrrm. 3 minutes to game time. Not enough time to go home and change. [i]Ok, suck it up mom.[/i] So I dug around the car and managed to find a stadium cushion and my small umbrella. I peeked in the trunk praying to find some rain gear..no such luck! I did find a plastic backed picnic blanket. So off I went to the stands (after paying 3 bucks to get in LOL! Talk about adding insult to injury!) By the end of the first quarter I was soaked thru. By the half I was shaking with cold. I watched the girls down on the track cheering their hearts out for their team. They were smiling and laughing, not seeming to mind that they looked like a pack of drowned rats! Even when their team got whupped 27-7 they remained cheerful and peppy. Have you ever had a happy accident? You know, something that you did quite by accident but it turned out really well for you? For example when I met my now best friend we were stuck in an elevator in the Taft building for 3 hours on a friday morning. We had nothing to do but talk to each other until we were "rescued". This accident spawned a 10 yr friendship! Now that's a happy accident! :D Have you had one? |
